Import tariff

Given the potential import duty exemptions provided to coal mining businesses, the measure also ought to be classified as a liberalising import tariff intervention. The regulation does not provide information on what products would be on the "masterlist". However, according to the Indonesian law firm Oentoeng Suria & Partners, these will include "plant, machinery, and raw materials" (p.12, cf. Sources).

The regulation came into force on 4 February 2017.
