Tax-based export incentive
On December 30, 2016, the Government of Argentina issued Decree 1341/2016 approving new export rebates for a large number of agricultural products. This change led to increasing the applicable export rebates on certain products enclosed in 211 eight-digits tariff lines.
The new export rebate levels have increased between 0.1% and 9.5% depending on the product.
In addition, an extra 0.5% export rebate was given to organic products, to those with a Designation of Origin registered and products authorized as "Argentine Food a Natural Choice".
The Government claims that this measure aims to support rural economies, boost production and promote exports.
