Import tariff quota
On February 4, 2012, the Government of Mexico passed an Agreement modifying the allocation of import tariff quotas on beans. The new agreement increased the allocation of the duty-free import quota of beans for 2012 by 50,000 metric tonnes, allowing a total duty-free import quota of 150,000 metric tonnes. Previously, the import tariff quota was set at 100,000 metric tonnes.
