FDI: Entry and ownership rule

On January 4, 2017, the Ministry of Treasury of Argentina issued Resolution 1-E/2017 modifying Decree 616/2015 to eliminate the minimum term of stay in the country. Prior to the elimination, foreign investments could only be repatriated after 120 days.

The stated goal of this legislative act is to liberalise the economy and promote FDI in the country.
