Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation was initiated on 24 April 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20. This investigation follows the application lodged on 31 January 2017 by Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda. and Marcegaglia do Brasil Ltda.

On 14 June 2018, the Brazilian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of austenitic stainless steel tubes from Malaysia, Thailand and Viet Nam. The rate of duty on imports from Malaysia is USD 367.56 or 740.02 per tonne depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from Thailand is USD 747.56 per tonne. The rate of duty on imports from Viet Nam is between USD 782.11 and 888.27 per tonne depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
