Trade finance

The Interbank Export Credit line between Korea Eximbank and the Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has a total value of USD 50 million. Through the development bank, this credit line will finance Vietnamese importer of Korean goods and services.

In this context, a Korea Eximbank official stated: "... We expect that the signing of this agreement would provide favourable financing for Vietnamese importers and increase opportunities for Korean exports to enter the Vietnamese market."

Interbank Export Credit
The Eximbank of Korea extends credit to foreign banks on favourable terms and conditions for the purpose of financing local companies’ purchases of Korean goods and services through loans. The GTA includes state guarantees and other financial incentives that are likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facing international competition, whether from imports, in export markets and from foreign subsidiaries.
