Export tax

On September 19, 2012, the Argentinian Government approved Decree 1719 establishing a variable export tariff system applicable to biodiesel (HS Code 3826.00.00) that is to be revised every two weeks. The new tax results from subtracting the total costs plus return on total capital employed to the established reference price, which is then multiplied by 100 and divided by the total costs plus return on total capital employed to the established reference price.

The new tax results from subtracting the total costs plus return on total capital employed to the established reference price, which is then multiplied by 100 and divided by the total costs plus return on total capital employed to the established reference price.

The previous export tariff was set at 32%.

Update
On December 13, 2017, the Government of Argentina adopted Decree 1025/2017 establishing a fixed export tax of 8% abrogating Decree 1719 (please, see related state acts).
