Import licensing requirement
On 1 September 2016, the import licensing requirements on motorhomes falling under HS code subheadings 8703.21.400, 8703.22.400; 8703.23.400; 8703.24.400; 8703.31.400; 8703.32.400; 8703.33.400; 8703.90.200; and 8703.90.300 are abolished.
Additionally, the import license requirements on the following three product groups are abolished. Firstly, used pneumatic tyres and used (HS Code subheading 4012.20.100), re-treaded pneumatic tyres (HS Code subheading 4012.20.200), and that of rubber (HS Code subheading 4012.20.990). Secondly, motorcyclists’ safety helmets (HS Code subheading 6506.10.100) (except as worn by motorcyclists or motorcycle pillion riders). Lastly, wheat or meslin flours (including atta flour) (HS code subheading 1101.00.000). However, all three product groups are now subject to an approval letter for imports as well in some cases complying with certain standards.
