On the 24th of November 2016, the Chinese State Administration of Taxation announced that it would abolish import tariffs on seeds, poultry, livestock and fish that are intended to be used for breeding purposes. The scheme was billed to last for one year, but was extended in 2017.
Update: in March 2018, the scheme was extended further, to last until the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2015-2020).
