On December 12, 2016, the Mexican Secretariat of Economy established new requirements for the importation of certain "sensitive" goods under the IMMEX Program. The new law established that companies willing to import sensitive goods had to comply with the following requirements:
These requirements are mandatory since January 31, 2017.
These authorizations to temporarily import sensitive goods under the IMMEX Program will last for four months. theIMMEX program enables its participants to defer taxed on temporary imorts and allows them to consolidate import declarations.
