Anti-dumping

On September 7th, 2015, the Indonesian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of biaxially oriented polypropylene from Thailand and Vietnam. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 3920.2010 and 3920.2090. The complaint was lodged by PT. Trias Sentosa Tbk. and PT. Lotte Packaging.

On 30 January 2017, the Indonesian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Viet Nam and Thailand. The rate of duty on imports from Thailand is between 0% and 28.4%. The rate of duty on imports from Viet Nam is 3.9%.

On 12 December 2017, the Indonesian authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of biaxially oriented polypropylene from Thailand and Vietnam. This follows the application lodged by PT Trias Sentosa Tbk. and PT Lotte Packaging. The duty is set to expire on 29 January 2019.
