ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On August 14th, 2015, the European Commission announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on imports of ceramic foam filters characterised by average porosity of up to 60 ppi (pores per inch) and by thermal shock resistance capable of withstanding the change of temperature caused by the passage of molten metal from ambient temperature to a minimum of 1 300 °C (and made from ceramic material other than those of siliceous fossil meals or of similar siliceous earths or containing zirconia in quantities greater than 50% by weight) originating in China (Notice No 2015/C 266/07).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: ex 6903.1000, ex 6903.2010, ex 6903.2090, ex 6903.9010, ex 6903.9090 and ex 6909.1900.
The complaint was lodged on July 1st, 2015 by Vesuvius GmbH, company representing more than 25% of the EU production of the subject good.
On 3 July 2016, the European Commission terminated the above investigation without the imposition of anti-dumping duties (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1072 ). This announcement follows the decision, on 8 March 2016, of the complainant to withdraw its complaint.
