Financial grant

On March 27, 2015 Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario announced in Hamilton, Ontario that, under the Advanced Manufacturing Fund (AMF) program, the government is providing Fibracast, Ltd. with up to $10 million, as a repayable contribution. This contribution will be used to market and commercialize Fibracast's FibrePlate membrane technology and allow Fibracast to ramp up manufacturing in southern Ontario.
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the state aid proposed here is discriminatory.
