On July 21, 2015 a coalition of eight firms filed anti-dumping and countervailing duty petitions against imports of heavy-walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes imported from Korea, Mexico, and Turkey. The U.S. International Trade Commission reached an affirmative determination in preliminary injury vote on September 3, 2015.
TheDepartment of Commerce published its preliminary affirmative dumping determinations on March 1, 2016.
On July 15, 2016, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative final determinations in the anti-dumping duty investigations of imports from Korea, Mexico, and Turkey, and the countervailing duty investigation of imports of heavy walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from Turkey.
On August 17, 2016 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of these imports. As a result of the affirmative determinations, the Department of Commerce will issue anti-dumping duty orders on imports of these products from Korea, Mexico, and Turkey, and a countervailing duty order on imports of these products from Turkey.
