On 2 July 2015 entered into force Decision No. 61 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission. It granted a 3-year full conditional exemption from import customs duties and taxes for certain temporarily imported sea ferries. 
 
Decision No. 61 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission affects sea ferries registered under classification code 8901 10 100 9 of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The conditions for the exemption are as follows: 

  • The ferries must be owned by foreign entities, chartered by persons of Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union.
  • The ownership contract must be of time charter or bareboat charter type.
  • It must be for the transportation of goods and passengers in the following itineraries:
    • the port of Caucasus and the port of Kerch,
    • the port of Novorossiysk port - the port of Theodosius,
    • the port of Gelendzhik - the port Kerch,
    • the port of Temryuk port Kerch,
    • the Novorossiysk port - the port of Kerch,
    • the Novorossiysk port - the port of Sevastopol.
