Export ban

On April 9th, 2015, the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine passed a law introducing an export ban on unprocessed timber (4-digit classification code 4403) for a period of 10 years. The law was signed by the President Poroshenko on July 7th, 2015, and entered into force on the day following its official promulgation.
 
Pine and unprocessed pine timber are only subject to this ban from 1 November 2015 and 1 January 2017, respectively.
