Export tax

 On 7 April 2015, the Indian government reduced the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on onions from USD 300 per Metric Tonne (MT) to USD 250 per MT.
 
The MEP was last reduced in August 2014 from USD 500 to USD 300 per MT. Since this measure, it has been later increased to USD 425 per MT in June 2015 (see related measures).
