Import tariff quota

Further, the same Notification No.128/2010 - Customs also creates a tariff rate quota for these natural rubber products, whereby an aggregate quantity of 40,000 MT of total imports in 2010-11 was to enjoy an effective tax rate of 7.5%. On 13 July 2011, vide Notification No.59/2011 - Customs, the benefits of 7.5% effective tax rate was extended to for 40,000 MT of total imports was extended to the financial year 2011-12 also. In December 2013, the Indian government terminated the described measure through a new intervention (see related measure).
