Export quota

On 7 December 2009, the Government of India vide Notification No. 19/2009-2014 relaxed the then-existing ban on export of wheat, by allowing export of certified organic wheat from the country.
A maximum of 5,000 MT of such wheat could be exported per annum, with prior registration and through Customs EDI Ports only.
The ban on export of wheat was originally set in 2007. The affected trading partners are those with trade above the GTA de minimis threshold of USD 1 million in the year prior to the ban according to UN Comtrade.
