NoAccording to consistent press reports, on 7 February 2015, the Minister of Finance of Egypt, Hani Kadri Dimian, has taken a decision to increase the import duty on shoes and leather goods so it reached the rate of 500%. According to the reports, the decision aims at protecting domestic markets, support domestic investment and the development of the domestic work force.
