Anti-dumping

On November 2, 2009, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain types of steel pipes (with or without seam; of a kind used in oil or gas drilling operations, for intubation "casing" or production "tubing"; made of unalloyed or alloyed steel; threaded or not threaded; coated or uncoated; with or without heat treatment; external diameter not larger than 10'3/4, i.e. 273.1 millimetres) from China (Resolution 29/2009, 02.11.2009).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7304.2910, 7304.2931, 7304.2939, 7304.2990 and 7306.2900.
The complaint was lodged by Siderca S.A.I.C. and Tubhier S.A. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on November 4, 2009.
On May 3, 2011, the Argentinian authorities decided to terminate the investigation without imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty (Resolution 144/2011, 03.05.2011). Resolution 144/2011 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on May 12, 2011.
