NoOn 5 August 2011, the Turkish government issued a decree in which an import quota for maize has been set. From 5 August 2011, a total of 500,000 tons of maize may be imported duty free.
The quota was set to expire on 31 August 2012. However, the quota was prolonged until 31 May 2014 through decree 2012/3590.
The rate outside the quota is 130% for all countries of the world except Bosnia.
