Financial grant

On 16 March 2015, the Argentinian Ministry of Economy and Public Finances announced the creation of an "Incentive program for small grain producers".
The program consists of monthly payments to small grain farmers throughout the year 2015. The amount received by each farmer decreases with the total output registered for that farmer in the 2013/14 harvest. Only farmers with an output below 700 tons of either wheat, soybeans, corn and / or sunflower may participate.
On 13 April 2015, the Presidency of Argentina allocated a total of 2,500 Million Pesos (USD 285 million) to the program. Payments were made retroactively from January 2015.

The GTA includes state guarantees and other financial incentives thatare likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facinginternational competition, whether from imports, in export markets, andfrom foreign subsidiaries.
