Export tax

On 25 May 2009, the government of the Dominican Republic established an export tax on crushed stone (see Resolution 21-2009 of the Secretary of Energy).
The export tax is set at USD 2.00 per cubic meter on any exports of such construction aggregates. This contrast with a tax of USD 0.3 per cubic meter on aggregate sold to domestic consumers.
