ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On March 16, 2013 the legislature of New Mexico approved a bill (SB396) that eases Buy (North) American requirement for motor vehicles. Existing state law generally requires that state agencies acquire only motor vehicles assembled in North America. The bill provides a new exception 'for motor vehicles used by law enforcement agencies if those motor vehicles are manufactured by a company or consolidated entity whose headquarters is located in the United States.'
