Import tariff

On June 2, 2010, the Bolivian President decided to temporary reduce the tariff imposed on corn (Maiz Amarillo Duro) to 0% (Supreme Decree No 0531).
The products subject to the measure are classified under the following HS code: 1005.9011.
The total volume of goods that are allowed to be imported at a tariff rate of 0% is limited to 60 million metric tons.
According to the UN Comtrade Database, in 2009 no country exported goods classified under HS code 1005.90 to Bolivia with a trade value over the GTA threshold of USD 1 million. Hence, no affected trading partner is labelled. For information only: in 2009, only the United States of America and Argentina exported goods classified under HS code 1005.90 to Bolivia with a trade value over USD 100,000.
The measure remains into force until September 3, 2010.
