Anti-dumping

On January 15, 2013, the Commission on Distortions of Chile decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of broken maize (corn) from Argentina (Decision No 349-01-0113).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 1104.2300.
The request was lodged on March 22, 2012 by the National Agriculture Society (Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura - SNA). The investigation started on January 23, 2013.
On March 27, 2013 the Commission on Distortions of Chile recommended the imposition of a provisional duty of 10.8% (Decision No 351-01-0313). This duty entered into force on April 1, 2013.
On September 13, 2013, the Commission on Distortions of Chile decided to terminate the investigation without imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty (Decision No 364-01-0913). The decision of the Commission was published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Chile on October 8, 2013.
