On 13 October 2014, the government of Turkey decided to increase the import tariffs on steel products. Under the new regulation the tariffs rise to 30 or 40 percent, fromprior levels of 12 or 15 percent (see source document for details).
Signatories of trade agreements with Turkey are excluded from this increase e.g. EU Members, Israel, Macedonia, Bosna and Herzegovina, Morocco, West Bank, Gaza Strip, Tunesia, Egypt, Georgia, Albania, Jordan, Chile, Serbia, Monte Negro, Kosova, Republic of Korea and Mauritius).
