Import tariff quota

On 23 December 2011, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 97 introducing tariff rate quotas for 12 months on:

  • Rutile pigments (NCM 3206.11.19): 2%, quota of 95,000 tonnes
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), obtained through emulsion (NCM 3904.10.20): 2%, quota of 12,000 tonnes

According to the latest tariff information reported to the WTO, Brazil applied average tariffs of 20% on the stated tariff lines in 2010. The measure took effect on 26 December 2011 and lasted until 25 December 2012.
