On 31 October 2011, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 83 introducing various tariff rate quotas:
- Sardines, sardinelles and sprats (NCM 0303.71.00): 2%, quota of 30,000 tonnes, for 12 months
- Anhydrous sodium sulfate (NCM 2833.11.10): 2%, quota of 650,000 tonnes, for 12 months
- Sodium triphosphate (NCM 2835.31.90): 2%, quota of 30,000 tonnes, for 12 months
- Blood fractions and modified immunological products for medicinal purposes (NCM 3002.10.39): free of duty, quota of 944,930 flasks of specified dosage and concentration, for 11 or 12 months
- Human serum albumin (NCM 3002.10.37): free of duty, quota of 429,600 flasks of 10g each
- Convex plates of a kind used in the manufacture of reactors for the petrochemical industry (NCM 7326.90.90): 2%, quota 100 tonnes, for 4 months, revoked by Resolution 87 on 10 November 2011.
The measure took effect on 03 November 2011 and lasted until 02 November 2012 at the latest.
