NoOn 7 August 2013, the U.S. Department of Commerce renewed the existing anti-dumping agreement on the suspension of investigation against imports of lemon juice (suspended) from Argentina. The original order was imposed on 10 September 2007, with the renewed order thus exceeding the five-year 'sunset' standard that generally applies to trade-remedy measures under WTO agreements (i.e., article 21.3 of the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and article 11.3 of the Anti-dumping Agreement).
On 20 October 2016, the United States Commerce signed a new undertaking with substantially all growers/exporters of lemon juice from Argentina and issued a continuation of the suspended investigation on imports of lemon juice from Argentina. The products under investigation are classified under HS code subheadings: 2009.39.6020, 2009.31.6020, 2009.31.4000, 2009.31.6040, and 2009.39.6040.
On 1 September 2021, the United States Commerce initiated the second sunset review on imports of lemon juice from Argentina.
