On November 19, 2007, the Indian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of cathode ray colour television picture tubes from China, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8540.1100. On May 7, 2008, the Indian authorities issued their preliminary findings and recommended the imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty. This provisional duty was imposed on July 24, 2008 (Notification No. 90/2008-Customs, 24.07.2008). For details about the amount of the duty, see table of Notification No. 90/2008-Customs. On November 18, 2008, the Indian authorities extended the time for completing the investigation by three months, i.e. until February 18, 2009. On February 17, 2009, the Indian authorities issued their final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty. This definitive duty was imposed on May 15, 2009 (Notification No. 50/2009-Customs, 15.05.2009). For details about the amount of the duty, see table of Notification No. 50/2009-Customs. This definitive duty is effective from the date of imposition of the provisional anti-dumping duty, i.e. from July 24, 2008. This duty expired on July 24, 2013.
