On July 22, 2008, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of cylindrical door locks (excluding electromechanicals) and other door locks from China (Notification 2008/23). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 8301.4011, 8301.4019 and 8301.6000.
On July 30, 2009, the Turkish authorities decided upon the continuation for a period of five years of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in China (Notification 2009/21). The amount of the duty is whether USD 1.60, USD 1.77 or USD 0.74 per piece, depending on the exact definition and classification of the good.
The original anti-dumping duty was imposed on July 31, 2003 (Notification 2003/16).
On July 22, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on July 30, 2009 (Notification 2014/28). It follows the application for a review lodged by Kale Kilit ve Kalip Sanayii A.S.
On 16 July 2015, the Turkish authorities extended the anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods from China following the conclusion of the above sunset review (Notification 2015/30). The amount of the duty is USD 4 per kilogram.
