Anti-dumping

On May 9, 2008, the Indonesian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of bi-axially oriented polypropylene film from Thailand.
 
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3920.2000. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2007.
 
On May 8, 2009, the Indonesian authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of bi-axially oriented polypropylene film from Thailand. The rate of the provisional duty is 15%, at the exception of the company AJ Plast Public Co Ltd whose exports are subject to a duty of 10%.
 
On November 16, 2009, the Indonesian authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of bi-axially oriented polypropylene film from Thailand. The rate of the definitive duty is 15%, at the exception of the companies A.J. Plast Public Co. Ltd. and Thai Film Industries Public whose exports are subject to a duty of 10% and 12.5% respectively.
 
The duty expired on November 16, 2012.
