ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On 3 September 2009, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping on imports of certain polyethylene terephthalate originating in Iran, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The product under investigation was polyethylene terephthalate of viscosity number of 78 ml/g or higher, according to the ISO Standard 1628-5. The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code subheading: 3907.60.20.
On 2 June 2010, the European Commission imposed a preliminary duty on imports of the above good from the United Arab Emirates. The rate of the duty is EUR 54.80per tonne. The duty is in force for a period of six months.
On 30 September 2010, the European Commission concluded and terminated the above investigation on imports ofcertain polyethylene terephthalate originating in Iran, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The above provisional anti-dumping duty is released to the respective parties.
