On February 20, 2013, the Taiwanese authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of flat-rolled products of stainless steel, cold-rolled, whether in coils or sheets, from China and South Korea.
 
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7219.3200, 7219.3300, 7219.3400, 7219.3500 and 7220.2000. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.
 
On August 15, 2013, the Taiwanese authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the investigated products from China and South Korea. The rate of duty ranges from 20.52% to 45.96% for Chinese exporters, depending on the company. The rate of duty ranges from 27.26% to 46.02% for Korean exporters, depending on the company.
 
On November 22, 2013, this duty has been modified. The rate of the modified duty ranges from 20.18% to 38.11% for Chinese exporters, depending on the company. The rate of the modified duty ranges from 26.53% to 37.65% for Korean exporters, depending on the company.
 
On January 10, 2014, the International Trade Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs made a final determination of dumping. The rate of duty remains at the levels imposed in November 2013. The definitive duty entered into force on January 16, 2014.

On 8 August 2018, Chinese Taipei initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of flat-rolled products of stainless steel, cold-rolled, whether in coils or sheets, from China and the Republic of Korea.

On 29 August 2019, Chinese Taipei extended the definitive antidumping duty on imports of flat-rolled products of cold-rolled stainless steel from China and the Republic of Korea. following the conclusion of the above sunset review. The rate of duty on imports from China is 38.11%. The rate of duty on imports from the Republic of Korea is 37.65%.
