Anti-dumping

On August 28, 2012, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of paracetamol from China.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2922.2933.
On August 26, 2013, the Indian authorities decided to revise and extend the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of paracetamol from China. The amount of the duty is USD 787 per metric ton. This duty entered into force on October 28, 2013.

On 24 May 2018, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Sri Krishna Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Farmson Pharmaceutical Gujarat Pvt Ltd. 

On 20 August 2018, in connection with the above sunset review, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification extending the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of paracetamol from China until 26 April 2019.
