NoOn 8 May 20103, the Mercosur Commission for Commerce adopted Directive no. 15/13 which introduces four new NCM tariff lines (Mercosur Nomenclature) for which there is a 60% regional content requirement:
In order to benefit from the preferential treatments by the Mercosur agreements, the products to be exported must have a proper Certificate of Origin. According to the Regime of Origin, for products to be considered from Mercosur, 60% of their inputs must be produced inside the country.
The measure took effect on 30 November 2013 the latest.
