Anti-dumping

On July 6, 2007, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints from China (Resolution 309/2007, 06.07.2007).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8708.9990.
The complaint was lodged by ETMA (Establecimiento Técnico Metalúrgico Argentino). The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on July 12, 2007.
 
On April 4, 2008, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints from China (Resolution 204/2008, 04.04.2008).
The provisional duty consists of a minimum FOB price. The minimum FOB price for crossheads is USD 5.16 per kilogram. The minimum FOB price for spindle tripod joints is USD 13.06 per kilogram. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on April 12, 2008, and is applicable for a period of six months.
 
On December 30, 2008, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints from China (Resolution 36/2008, 30.12.2008).
The amount of the definitive duty imposed on crossheads is USD 10.97 per kilogram. The amount of the definitive duty imposed on spindle tripod joints is USD 17.34 per kilogram. This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on January 7, 2009, and is applicable for a period of five years.
 
On January 6, 2014, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an expiry review of the above-mentioned anti-dumping duty imposed on December 30, 2008 by Resolution 36/2008 (Resolution 1/2014, 06.01.2014). The review was requested by ETMA (Establecimiento Técnico Metalúrgico Argentino). Resolution 1/2014 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on January 7, 2014.
 
On July 6th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities concluded the expiry review and decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints originating in China (Resolution 539/2015, 06.07.2015).
The amount of the duty imposed on imports of crossheads is USD 11.09 per kilogram. The amount of the duty imposed on imports of spindle tripod joints is USD 16.02 per kilogram.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on July 6th, 2015, and is applicable for a period of five years. Resolution 539/2015 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on July 17th, 2015.
