Anti-dumping

On December 30, 2008, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints from China (Resolution 36/2008, 30.12.2008). The duty was imposed following an investigation initiated in July 2007. The products subject to duties are classified under the following HS code: 8708.9990. The amount of the definitive duty imposed on crossheads is USD 10.97 per kilogram. The amount of the definitive duty imposed on spindle tripod joints is USD 17.34 per kilogram. This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on January 7, 2009, and is applicable for a period of five years.
 
On January 6, 2014, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an expiry review of the above-mentioned anti-dumping duty imposed on December 30, 2008 by Resolution 36/2008 (Resolution 1/2014, 06.01.2014). The review was requested by ETMA (Establecimiento Técnico Metalúrgico Argentino). Resolution 1/2014 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on January 7, 2014.
 
On July 6th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities concluded the expiry review and decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of crossheads and spindle tripod joints originating in China (Resolution 539/2015, 06.07.2015).
The amount of the duty imposed on imports of crossheads is USD 11.09 per kilogram. The amount of the duty imposed on imports of spindle tripod joints is USD 16.02 per kilogram.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on July 6th, 2015, and is applicable for a period of five years. Resolution 539/2015 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on July 17th, 2015.

On 6 July 2020, the Argentinian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by E.T.M.A. Establecimiento Tecnico Metalurgico Argentino S.A. The definitive duty will remain in force for the duration of the investigation.
