On July 6, 2009, the Argentinian authorities decided, after having conducted an expiry review, to continue the anti-dumping duty on imports of certain types of cold-rolled steel and iron products from Kazakhstan, South Africa, South Korea and Ukraine (Resolution 242/2009, 06.07.2009).
The products subject to the duty are classified under the following HS codes: 7209.1500, 7209.1600, 7209.1700, 7209.1800, 7209.2500, 7209.2600, 7209.2700, 7209.2800, 7209.9000, 7211.2300, 7225.5000 and 7226.9200.
The rate of the definitive duty imposed on Kazakh exports is 80.61% of the FOB price. The rate of the definitive duty imposed on South African exports is 83.07% of the FOB price. The rate of the definitive duty imposed on South Korean exports is 60.46% of the FOB price. The rate of the definitive duty imposed on Ukrainian exports is 71.22% of the FOB price. This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on July 8, 2009, and is applicable for a period of one year.
This duty follows a review requested by Siderar S.A.I.C. A review was then initiated by the Argentinian Ministry of Economy and Production on January 7, 2008 (Resolution 1/2008, 07.01.2008). The review started on January 10, 2008. Resolution 1/2008 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on January 8, 2008.

The original anti-dumping duty on microwave ovens was decided on January 8, 2003 (Resolution 17/2003, 08.01.2003).

On June 29, 2010, the Argentinian authorities decided to open an expiry review of the anti-dumping duty imposed by Resolution 242/2009 dated July 6, 2009 (Resolution 242/2010, 29.06.2010). The review started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on July 6, 2010. The existing anti-dumping duty remains in force during the review.
On September 4, 2014, the Argentinian authorities concluded the sunset review and decided not to extend the duty that was imposed by Resolution No. 242/2009 dated 06.07.2009 (Resolution No. 581/2014, 04.09.2014). Resolution No. 581/2014 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on September 10, 2014.
