On June 26, 2009 China established preliminary anti-dumping duty on imports of Polyamide 6.6 originating in USA, Italy, UK, France and Chinese Taipei following the investigation initiated following November 17, 2008. The anti-dumping duty is 37.5% ad valorem for Chinese Taipei, 33.7% for France, 28.8% for UK, 10.9-20.9 for Italy and 20.2-34.4 for the United States.
On October 12, 2009 China imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of Polyamide-6, 6 originating in the United States, Italy, France, United Kingdom and Taiwan. The duty entered into force on October 13, 2009 and will remain applicable for 5 years.
On October 10th, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided to initiate a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of polyamide-6.6chips from Chinese Taipei, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States of America (MOFCOM Announcement No. 62 of 2014, 10.10.2014).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3908.1011.
It follows the application for a review lodged on August 12th, 2014 by Pingdingshan Shenma Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd. on behalf of the domestic industry.
The investigation started on October 13th, 2014 and shall end before October 13th, 2015. The existing anti-dumping duty remains in force during the review.
On October 12th, 2015, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of polyamide-6.6chips from Chinese Taipei, France, Italy and the United States of America (MOFCOM Announcement No. 37 of 2015, 12.10.2015). The duty imposed in 2009 by MOFCOM Announcement No. 79 of 2009 is not modified.
This duty entered into force on October 13th, 2015 and shall remain in force for a period of five years.
The measure was not extended concerning imports originating in the United Kingdom. Therefore, the measure expired on October 13th, 2015 as far as the United Kingdom as affected trading partner is concerned.
