Import tariff

On 10 August 2011, Uruguay's Ministry of Economy and Finance adopted Decree No. 284/011 eliminating the import tariff on sugar from 35 to 0 per cent under the condition that the imported sugar be used for industrial purposes. This measure entered into force on 22 August 2011.
 
On 25 June 2012, Uruguay's Ministry of Economy and Finance adopted Decree No. 210/012 extending the previous measure to the apicultural sector.
