ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On December 31, 2012, China's General Administration of Customs issued a statement indicating that the export quotas on metallurgical coke would be lifted. Exports will henceforth be regulated via export licenses. The Catalog of 2013 on the Goods under Export License, promulgated on the same day, codifies the change.
Earlier in December 2012, China had already scrapped a 40 per pecent export duty on material in the Tariff Implementation Plan for 2013.
