Safeguard

On 21 June 2013, the Australian Government announced the initiation of a safeguard investigation on processed fruit products.
The HS codes in question are 2008.30; 2008.40; 2008.50; 2008.70; 2008.97 and 2008.99.
On December 20, 2013, the Productivity Commission released its inquiry report and found that safeguard measures on imports of processed fruit products are not warranted.
