Import quota

On 9 November 2010, Ecuador's Trade and Investment Board (Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones COMEXI) adopted Resolution No. 596 imposing restrictive measures on the import of poultry meat corresponding to tariff lines 020725 and 020727 from countries of the Andean Community with the exception of Bolivia. The resolution adopted a complete ban on the import of poultry meat corresponding to tariff line 020727. Furthermore, it imposed an import quota of 300,000 kg on poultry meat corresponding to tariff line 020725.

This measure entered into force on 22 November 2010. It was eventually removed in March 2012.
