The HS codes in question are 1005.9020 and 1005.9090.
On 24 April 2013, the Ministry imposed a provisional safeguard import duty on corn (tariff line 1005.90) of 9.7 per cent. This decree excludes Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Turkey, Paraguay, Uruguay, France and the United States from the safeguard import duty and in effect targets Argentina. This measure entered into force on 25 April 2013 for a maximum period of 200 days.
