Anti-dumping

On May 22, 2013, the Canada Border Services Agency initiated anti-dumping investigations of certain copper tube imported from Brazil, China, Greece, Korea, and Mexico, and a countervailing duty investigation of the same product imported from China. The investigations follow a complaint filed by Great Lakes Copper Inc. of London, Ontario. See the Statement of Reasons for the preliminary determinations reached in August at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/i-e/ad1401/ad1401-i13-pd-eng.pdf.
On November 18, 2013, CBSA made a final determination of dumping; see the statement of reasons at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/i-e/ad1401/ad1401-i13-fd-eng.html. The imposition of duties now awaits final injury determination.
