Anti-dumping

On December 11, 2012, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of blenders of power equal to or less than 800 W from China (Circular No. 66, 11.12.2012). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8509.4010. The complaint was lodged by Black & Decker do Brasil Ltda., Philips do Brasil Ltda. and Seb do Brasil Produtos Domésticos Ltda. on April 26, 2012. The investigation started on the day of the publication of the circular in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil, i.e. on December 13, 2012. On November 7, 2013, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to extend for up to six months, from December 13, 2013, the investigation period to determine the existence of dumping in exports of blenders of power equal to or less than 800 W from China to Brazil (Circular No. 68, 07.11.2013).
On June 12, 2014, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to terminate the investigation without imposing any duty due to negative final determination of injury (Circular No. 29, 12.06.2014). Circular SECEX No. 29 was published in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil on June 13, 2014.
