On July 28, 2011, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of granites from China (Notification 2011/13).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 6802.23 and 6802.93.
On July 10, 2012, the Turkish authorities decided upon the continuation for a period of five years of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in China (Notification 2012/14). The amount of the duty is USD 174 per metric ton.
The original anti-dumping duty was imposed on September 14, 2006 (Notification 2006/25).
On December 12, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of granites from Vietnam (Notification 2014/42) (see measure 8469).
On 5 July 2017, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of granites from China. This follows the application lodged by Derya Granit ve Mermer San. Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti., Granitaş Granit Sanayi ve Pazarlama A.Ş., Granitaş Anadolu Granitleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş., Granitürk İnşaat Maden Nakliye Turizm Akaryakıt Kömür Gıda San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and Van Mermer ve Madencilik Sanayi A.Ş. The definitive antidumping duty will remain in force for the duration of the investigation.
On 24 May 2018, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China following the conclusion of the sunset review. The rate of duty is USD 174 per ton.
