Anti-dumping

On January 15, 2009, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of knives for electromechanical domestic kitchen appliances from China and Hong Kong (Notification 2009/2).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8208.3090.
The complaint was lodged by AFS Biçak ve Kalip San. Dis. Tic. Ltd. Sti.

On June 18, 2009, the Turkish authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports originating in China (Notification 2009/17). The amount of the duty is USD 20.85 per kilogram. No duty was imposed on imports originating in Hong Kong.

On August 18, 2009, the Turkish authorities decided to terminate the investigation concerning imports originating in Hong Kong without imposing an anti-dumping measure. The reason is that import volume is negligible.

On June 17, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed by Notification 2009/17 on June 18, 2009 (Notification 2014/19).

On May 23rd, 2015, the Turkish authorities decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on June 18th, 2009 by Notification 2009/17 (Notification 2015/12, 23.05.2015). The amount of the duty remains USD 20.85 per kilogram.
